No-Covid Strategy

Strategies and objectives to combat SARS-CoV-2

No-Covid is an interdisciplinary research initiative, which was launched with the objective of developing concepts and strategies to combat the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in order to prevent new infections, fatalities and further nationwide lockdowns.

During the past summer, Germany succeeded in achieving a low incidence rate and in reducing the numbers of new infections to a manageable minimum. However, the federal government and the state governments failed to stabilize the low rate of new infections. The containment of the pandemic and a long-term return to normal life requires a consistent strategy as well as a specific and nationwide objective for combatting the spread of the virus. No-Covid formulates such a goal and works on a strategy for achieving a low incidence on the basis of the Green Zone approach. Several countries have already successfully applied the approach of Green Zones, allowing their populations to return to a much more stable and normal life.
