Bonn, 16 October 2023 - With the start of the winter semester 2023/2024, the new Master's programme "Strategy and International Security" (MSIS) at the Institute of Political Science and Sociology at the University of Bonn has officially started.
This study programme, offered entirely in English, was designed to meet the challenges of the globalised world of the 21st century. The MSIS focuses on current issues in security studies and international law, as well as a broad spectrum of modern challenges in the fields of geo-economics, technology and ecology. The aim of the programme is to provide students with a well-founded overview of the latest state of scientific research, while at the same time establishing a clear link to political practice.
The MSIS is conducted in close cooperation with national and international partners, including the University of Potsdam, Reichman University in Israel or the Fraunhofer Institute.
The official opening of the MSIS took place last Friday, 13 October 2023. For this occasion, students, teachers, partners and supporters of the programme gathered in the historic festival hall of the University of Bonn. State Secretary for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs and Media of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia Mark Speich and media entrepreneur Sebastian Turner were invited as keynote speakers.
