During his visiting professorship, Prof. Schlie will conduct research at the interface of international security policy and European history. This will not affect his teaching on the Master's degree course in Strategy and International Security at the University of Bonn. "It is a great honor for me to work with the students and colleagues at the renowned University of St Andrews," says Prof. Schlie. "I would like to use the joint research professorship to establish close cooperation between CASSIS and the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews. In particular, this partnership should also benefit the cooperation within the framework of the Master's degree course 'Strategy and International Security'."
