What we can learn from history) at the Banz Monastery Education Centre of the cooperation conference of the Görres Society and the Hanns Seidel Foundation.

Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schlie spoke on 03 and 04 June 2023 at the conference "Kriegschaos und Friedensordnung. Was wir aus der Geschichte lernen können" (War chaos and peace order. What we can learn from history) of the Görres Society and the Hanns Seidel Foundation, Prof. Ulrich Schlie spoke on the panels about the lessons of history in peacekeeping in the early modern period, the international system since 1989/90, shifts in power politics in the present, strategic change, technological developments and the future of war.

Prof. Schlie was also the scientific director of the conference together with Prof. Dr. Christoph Kampmann of the Philipps University of Marburg.

The cooperation conference was organised by the Görres Society and the Hanns Seidel Foundation.

Ulrich Schlie is director of the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS) and Henry Kissinger Professor of Security and Strategic Studies at the Institute for Political Science and Sociology.
