French politics is currently experiencing a shift to the right. The Rassemblement National has a good chance of emerging stronger from the European elections in June and thus not only expanding its influence in Europe, but also taking a further step towards the Élysée Palace in France. Germany plays a central role in the Rassemblement's election campaign rhetoric as an enemy. Dr. Landry Charrier explains why this is the case and how a strengthening of the right in France would strain Franco-German relations in an interview with Focus Online.
