On the occassion of his death at the age of 100, Ulrich Schlie traces the life of former US Minister for Foreign Affairs Henry Kissinger: Beginning with his birth in Fürth, the Kissinger family's flight to the USA and ending with his work as chief diplomat of the USA. Schlie particularly emphasises the historical significance of Kissinger's work for the relations between the United States and Germany.
