Europe is currently in a phase of geopolitical reorientation. Amid growing global uncertainty and increasing tensions, as exemplified by Donald Trump's election and Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the European Union has recognized the need to develop a coherent geopolitical strategy. In particular, the concepts of "European sovereignty" and "strategic autonomy" are coming to the forefront. These terms reflect Europe's desire to position itself more strongly as a global actor and to become more militarily and economically independent from external powers.
A key step in this direction is the further development of defense and security cooperation between European states. Countries like France, Germany, Poland, and the United Kingdom are increasingly aligning their efforts towards a common goal: fostering a stable, integrated power structure that allows Europe to confidently face global challenges. At the same time, the importance of strategic cohesion within the EU is becoming ever clearer, as only through a strong and united Europe can it successfully seize geopolitical opportunities and assert its power in the international arena.
