Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has visited his counterpart Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Warsaw. It was the minister's first trip to Poland since the new liberal government under Prime Minister Tusk took office. According to CASSIS Fellow Dr. Joachim Weber, the visit raises hopes of reviving the cooperation format of the "Weimar Triangle" of France, Germany and Poland. Relations between Germany and Poland in particular had recently been very poor under the previous Polish Pis government.
