In his contribution to the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defence's "Risikobild 2024", Ulrich Schlie analyses the importance of the North Atlantic Alliance's ability to act. This will depend crucially on its ability to deter and transatlantic cohesion in 2024. This year, NATO should pay particular attention to the security situation in Ukraine, Kosovo and Bosnia-Herzegovina as well as the Asia-Pacific region.
