Wasser als Lebens- und Entwicklungsfaktor

June 27, 2023 | 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. Uhr | Online via Zoom

Third event of the digital dialogue series "Strategic management of climate change in Latin America".

Water scarcity is a major issue in Latin America, with climate change exacerbating the problem. This has a significant impact on the region’s agriculture, industry, and population growth, as water is a critical factor in all of these areas. As a result, Latin America is facing a growing challenge in ensuring that its water resources are managed and utilized in a sustainable manner. This webinar will focus on the following questions: How does water scarcity affect Latin America? What challenges does climate change pose to Latin American hydropower? What role does Latin America play in the production of greenest electricity? What opportunities and lessons can Latin America take away from the impacts of climate change on water resources?
