Raum und Resilienz: Der Cyberspace (Space and Resilience: Cyberspace)

April 11, 2022, 18:00h - 19:30h CET | Zoom

Series: Space and Resilience in the 21st Century

Cyber space is a man-made space where multiple political, military and economic interests compete. In recent years, the number of cyberattacks has increased rapidly. What is (still) limited to sabotaging civilian IT systems or stealing innovation secrets can quickly become an acute threat to nuclear power plants, hospitals or administrative structures. Germany must lead the way in defending itself against cyber attacks and live up to its claim to technological leadership. After all, the development of effective tools and structures to safeguard its own digital sovereignty is a key building block for Germany's economic competitiveness and military capability to act.
