As project manager of the Henry Kissinger Professorship for Security and Strategy Research, Julius Schwafferts supervises the project initiated by the Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl Foundation on the status and perspectives of source-based contemporary historical research on the former Federal Chancellor in international perspective. Previously, he worked at the Institute for German and Rhenish Legal History. Mr. Schwafferts is writing a dissertation on German parliamentary history.
Julius Schwafferts holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in the core subject History and the accompanying subject Law. He completed his Master's degree in modern history with a thesis on Prussian-Cologne relations in the times of Frederick the Great and Elector Clemens August.
