Profile

Prof. Dr. Key Pousttchi is head of the wi-mobile Institute for Digital Transformation. Previously, he was Germany's first university professor for digitalization at the University of Potsdam (SAP Endowed Chair for Business Informatics and Digitalisation) until 2020 and established the first German Master's program for Business Informatics and Digital Transformation there (in cooperation with the Hasso Plattner Institute). Before that, he led the wi-mobile research group for business informatics and mobile business at the University of Augsburg from 2001 to 2014. From 1989 to 2001 he was an officer in the German Armed Forces. Prof. Pousttchi has also taught at the universities of Zurich, Frankfurt/Main, and Magdeburg. His scientific work includes 15 books and numerous publications, especially on the strategic impact of digitalization and the engineering design of digital transformation. He has done countless consulting projects at home and abroad based on his research results. He is a member of the Gesellschaft für Informatik, the Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaftslehre and the Association for Information Systems.
