Nicole Renvert is a political scientist specialising in foreign and security policy and a board member of the Asia-Pacific Forum Berlin, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR) and a board member of the "Forum Ebenhausen" of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP). From 2014-2019, she served as Sherpa of the APA Chair and in this capacity was also an Executive Member of the APA Board of Management.
Nicole Renvert has worked for the Research Institute of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM), the World Bank, the OSCE, the Aspen Institute and the German Federal Foreign Office and has worked internationally for several corporate foundations (Bertelsmann, Bosch and Quandt). From 2008-2014 she worked for the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), focussing on the US and transnational actors.
She studied history, international relations and political science at the Universities of Bonn, Sorbonne and Georgetown, School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C., and completed her doctorate under Prof Karl-Rudolf Korte at the NRW School of Governance at the University of Duisburg Essen on the role of German political foundations in transatlantic relations.

Research
She is currently researching and working on the challenges of geopolitical tensions in economic interdependencies and on a critical examination of the concept of "feminist" foreign policy.
