Europe’s Future Orders – Europe in Future International Orders

Europa steht wieder einmal vor einer Wegscheide: Wird es angesichts der globalen Veränderungen und Machverschiebungen an Bedeutung verlieren, oder selbst noch einmal Einfluss auf die künftigen regionalen und internationalen Ordnungen gewinnen können? Vieles hängt entscheidend davon ab, ob sich die Mitglieder der Europäischen Union rasch über gemeinsame Interessen und Zielsetzungen angesichts der regionalen und globalen Dynamiken verständigen können.
In Kooperation mit der Universität Warschau, der NRW-Akademie für Internationale Politik (AIA-NRW) und der Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung werden Experten in einer CASSIS-Konferenz zu „Europe‘s Future Orders“ am 16. November 2023 den zentralen Fragen nachgehen, inwiefern die Europäer ihre etablierten Strukturen und Politiken an die neuen Anforderungen anpassen müssen und wie die Europäer die künftige internationale Ordnung im Sinne ihrer Präferenzen für Multilateralismus und westlich-demokratische Werte mitgestalten können.
