Dr. Joachim Weber2 conducts research in the field of strategic foresight with the aim of generating better approaches for practical policy action on the basis of analytical instruments and better linking theory and practice. Before joining CASSIS, he researched geostrategic and security policy-relevant developments in the High North in the ISPK's Arctic project (2017-2019). Dr. Weber is co-founder of the Kavoma (Disaster Risk Reduction and Management) course at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (2006 ff.). For more than two decades, he has taught numerous courses on various topics of history, political geography and political science at the universities of Hamburg, Bonn, Zagreb and Akron, OH.
